Intel Ultra 15th generation Core

The official name of the "15th generation Core" is Intel Core Ultra 200S series (codenamed Arrow Lake), which abandons the previous naming of i3/i5/i7/i9 and replaces it with Ultra 5/7/9+three digits.

At present, there are approximately the following models that have been launched and confirmed. I have listed them separately for desktop and mobile devices:

First release of K/KF series (to be launched in October 2024):

Ultra 9 285K: 24 cores, 24 threads, up to 5.7GHz, 125W, with core graphics

Ultra 7 265K/265KF: 20 cores with 20 threads, maximum 5.5GHz, 125W (KF without core display)

Ultra 5 245K/245KF: 14 cores and 14 threads, maximum 5.2GHz, 125W (KF without core display)

Subsequent new models (released in January 2025, non-K version):

Ultra 9 285:8P+16E, 65W, with nuclear display

Ultra 7 265/265F: 8P+12E, 65W (F without nuclear display)

Ultra 7 255 / 255F：8P+8E，65W

Ultra 5 245 / 245F：6P+8E，65W

Ultra 5 235 / 235F：6P+8E，65W

Ultra 5 225 / 225F：6P+4E，65W

Ultra 3 215 / 215F：4P+4E，65W

Ultra 3 205 / 205F：4P+4E，35W

The "Plus" series, which emphasizes cost-effectiveness, will be added in 2026

Ultra 7 270K Plus: 24 cores, 24 threads, up to 5.5GHz, 125W

Ultra 5 250K/250KF Plus: 18 cores with 18 threads, up to 5.3GHz, 125W

Ultra 5 230F: 10 cores with 10 threads, up to 5.0GHz, 65W, no core graphics

💻 Mobile (released in January 2025, laptop platform)

Ultra 9 285HX/275HX: Flagship level, 24 cores

Ultra 7 255HX/265HX/265H: High performance, 20 cores

Ultra 5 235H/225H: mainstream grade, 14 cores

Ultra 7 255U/265U/255UL: Low power consumption, 12 cores

Ultra 5 225U/235U/225UL: Low power consumption, 12 cores

Ultra 3 205U/205UL: entry-level, 8-core

⚠️ Special Reminder:

The 15th generation Core has switched to the LGA1851 interface, which is not compatible with the previous 12/13/14 generation LGA1700 motherboard. Upgrading requires replacing the motherboard together.

This generation has completely eliminated DDR4 memory support and can only use DDR5.

Except for models ending in "K" and "KF", most other models come with built-in graphics, so there is no need to equip them with a dedicated display for daily use.

If the budget is limited, currently the most recommended options are the Ultra 5 230F (with high entry-level cost-effectiveness) and Ultra 5 250K Plus (mainstream all-around), and we do not recommend the old 245K model because the Plus version does not increase the price with additional volume
